A World Behind Walls

Concrete Cage

A concrete/iron/steel cage can be a symbol/manifestation/representation of restriction/confinement/oppression. It holds/contains/imprisons something valuable/dangerous/forbidden, and the act of building/creating/erecting it suggests a need for control/security/protection. The cage itself can be imposing/forbidding/daunting, made of thick/solid/heavy materials that reflect/absorb/deflect light, creating a sense of mystery/darkness/isolation. Months passed, the race took its devastating toll. Individuals succumbed to exhaustion under the pressure, leading them to withdraw.
